2015 F1E FAI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR FREE FLIGHT MODEL AIRCRAFT

Zlatibor, 2015 FAI F1E World Championships for free flight model aircraft
(for seniors and juniors) will be held at Zlatibor, Serbia. The extensive rolling plateau
of Zlatibor is located in southwestern Serbia, at a height of between 700 and 1500 m above sea-level.
It is located near towns Uzice and Cajetina and is 238 km from Belgrade.
The main flying area for slope soaring is situated 4 km south of Zlatibor. A path (red) – usable for cars – leads up
to a long plateau on a ridge. From there flying is possible facing all wind directions. Even sout-west is safe.
The violet line marks a distance of 1.13 km, equivalent an F1E flight time of 300 sec without upwind. Woods, if
any, consist of deformed pines with about 2m height
